What Digital Is
Digital printing refers to printing from a digital-based image (i.e., a pdf) directly to a variety of media. While offset uses actual ink, plates, and solutions, digital printing uses 4-color powdery toners which is baked onto the sheet.
Printing digitally allows for on-demand printing, short turnarounds, and even a modification of the image (variable data) with each impression. The savings in labor and technology of digital machines mean it is reaching a point where it will match or supersede the cost of offset printing.
Digital inkjet printing is the fastest method of printing today. The first versions of this was the photocopier introduced by Xerox, laser printer by Xerox, and Dot Matrix printer introduced by Digital Equipment Corporation in Massachusetts. With the advancement of technology in digital printing, we can now provide the quicklest, most efficient, and highest quality printing you can get.
